“Don’t lower your expectations to meet your performance. Raise your performance to meet your expectations. Expect the best of yourself and then do what is necessary to make it a reality.”~
Ralph MarstonJust a quick and simple thought, if you want/expect the best in life, you have to do your best in life. You have to get good at life. It becomes a matter of reaping what you have sowed. You have to give your all if you want to get to a fulfilling life. That is why the road to extraordinary is never easy to travel, for you need to put out something extra than the ordinary to get back the extraordinary. The Law of Cause and Effect. You have to give most if not all of yourself to that which you want to accomplish and hope will be waiting for you down the line.
As Seneca pointed out, “It is the rough roads that lead to the heights of greatness.” Ultimately the power to change and shape your experiences in life is governed by the choices you make. Having clarity of what you want or consider as “success” will equip you with the knowledge of making better and wiser choices which are in lined with your mission, which will yield better results.
The road of success is best travelled with faith. Faith, however, is not believing in an unreality, it is believing in realities that you cannot, at this point, physically perceive. But does exist, and will show itself to you of its existence. Seeing is not believing, believing is seeing.
Remember therefore that:
“Most powerful is he who has himself in is own power.” ~ Seneca
